Gahwa specializes in seolleongtang. Seolleongtang is a traditional Korean bone soup made from boiling ox bones, brisket and other cuts. At Gahwa, we continuously boil our broth 24/7, 365 days a year, and in return, the broth develops a very rich, almost milky consistency. Yum.

History

Established in 2006.

At Gahwa, experience authentic and traditional Korean cuisine through our Grandmother’s recipes. She brings her 40+ years of experience running a restaurant in the city of Suwon, South Korea since the ‘60s. After immigrating to Queens, New York in 1986 with her husband and kids, she worked from the ground up to ultimately open Gahwa and the rest is history.
